Teachers submit an Amazon Wish List. STAR publishes reviewed classrooms in the teacher directory. Community supporters shop directly on Amazon, and teachers or STAR organizers keep progress updated in the portal.
Who may submit a classroom Wish List?
Any teacher serving the greater South Lake Tahoe area may submit a list for review.
How do I support a teacher?
Browse the teacher directory, choose a classroom, and click 'Shop This Teacher's Amazon Wish List'. All purchases happen on Amazon.
Does STAR collect money through this website?
No. This portal does not accept donations, payment information, or process any transactions. Every purchase happens directly on Amazon.
Does the portal automatically connect to Amazon?
No. Amazon purchase information is not automatically synchronized with this portal. Progress is updated by participating teachers and South Tahoe Association of REALTORS® campaign administrators.
How is fulfillment progress updated?
Teachers update their essential items remaining through a secure private link. STAR organizers can also mark verifications and mark classrooms fulfilled.
How do I know which teachers need the most help?
Teachers with the greatest unmet needs appear first in the directory. Look for the 'Needs Support' badge or the 'Teachers Who Need the Most Help Today' section on the homepage.
What happens when a list is fulfilled?
The teacher's profile stays visible for recognition. The shopping button is replaced with a message thanking the community and directing supporters to another teacher.
Can I support more than one teacher?
Absolutely. There's no limit — every item helps.
Can local businesses participate?
Yes. Local businesses and community organizations are welcome to shop lists and to become campaign sponsors.
How can I become a campaign sponsor?
